A Rainy Airbourne

Abbe and Herbie at a very wet Airbourne.

Abbe made a brave attempt to visit the Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow during the very wet August we experienced this year with GTO’s Consultant Designer, Suzanne Fox, and her son, Herbie.

The day that they were able to attend turned out to be one of the wettest of the summer and so they didn’t get to see any flying but they did have a look around the static displays on the ground and meet one of the owls from the falconry stand! Herbie liked the helicopters and vehicles on display, but the best thing about it for him turned out to be the puddles!

The airshow runs for four days during the middle of August, and the following three dates of the show did brighten up, with highlights including the Vulcan Bomber taking to the skies. Usually at the free-entry show, visitors can enjoy flying displays, live music, ground displays and fireworks. Perhaps we will try again next year, when the event runs from 11th to 14th August!
