I was recently able to visit the National Trust’s Sheffield Park and Garden in East Sussex with my son Herbie. It is a sprawling estate with lots to see and do, including woodland walks and bookable activities such as kite-making available for families. We were able to stroll peacefully around the grounds, and meet the resident geese and ducks! The attraction is very near to the Bluebell Railway and a combined price is available to pre-booked groups as well as optional extras such as a tour of the garden with one of the stewards. The staff on the day were very welcoming and friendly, which can make all the difference! For more on where to spot wildlife, turn to page 14 of our Out and About column.
