Art Deco and Art in Croatia Between the Two World Wars

GTO Editorial Director Peter Stonham happened to be in the Croatian capital of Zagreb at the beginning of this month, and took in the opening of a fantastic exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Crafts. ‘Art Deco and Art in Croatia Between the Two Wars’ runs until 30th April, and features more than 750 exhibits by eminent Croatian artists who were active during the period, reflecting its high-end style of architecture and industrial design, as well the visual arts, music and dance of the time. The displays include wonderful paintings, sculptures, photographs, film, posters, furniture, glass, ceramics, dresses and accessories. Museums and galleries are an important feature of this delightful city and make a trip particularly memorable.
