Beaulieu broadens tour offering

BEAULIEU has expanded its programme of themed tours for 2011, giving groups even greater choice when visiting the Hampshire-based attraction.

It now includes tours with Beaulieu’s professional gardening team, visiting the attraction’s many gardens throughout the seasons, including the Victorian Flower Garden, Wilderness Garden and Ornamental Kitchen Garden.
The museum is also offering new motoring tours in the National Motor Museum, including the ‘Story of Speed’ and ‘To the Chequered Flag’, a look at early motor racing history.
Meanwhile, in the tranquil setting of the Abbey cloisters, groups can discover the history of falconry and see birds of prey in flight. Another new addition is a seasonal tour of the Beaulieu vineyard, including a tasting.
There is also the opportunity to learn about the fascinating women of Palace House- Lady Mary Montagu-Stuart-Wortley and Lady Isabella Montagu – and learn about the workings of a Victorian kitchen.
