Castle’s Colourful Celebration

Just a few of the 7000 tulips on display at Hever Castle & Gardens during the festival.

Hever Castle & Gardens near Edenbridge in Kent is hosting its first ever ‘Tulip Celebration’ this year from April 24th to 28th and May 2nd to 7th (excluding bank holiday weekend).

Visitors to the brand new event at the Castle in Kent will be able to enjoy a tulip trail, either self-guided or with Hever’s head gardener, and marvel at the 7,000 tulips, in 60 varieties planted along the Pergola Walk, Pompeiian Wall, Tudor Garden and Italian Garden.

Tulips with a talking point such as ‘Ice Cream’ with its peony-like flower will be planted in troughs and pots and displayed in the rotundas and on the Castle forecourt. The castle’s interior will also dressed with tulips by talented in-house florist Pamela Brise.

The celebration is included with general admission to Hever Castle, which offers special entry rates for groups of 15 people or more
