Contributing Editor Val Baynton brushed up her cookery skills at Rick Stein’s Seafood Cookery School in Padstow recently. Opting for cookery courses on two consecutive days – Fish and Seafood, followed by Far Eastern Cookery – Val was inspired by the particular recipes she cooked and gained many valuable tips for general techniques. Val said there are options at the school for groups with both full day and evening programmes available for parties of between 10 and 20 people. The programmes include demonstrations of each recipe then a chance to prepare, cook and, finally, eat the dish that you have just cooked.
