Draw inspiration from the north

The tourism team for North East England has launched a new
Art Trail.

The latest offering in a number of new itineraries, which also include an Ale Trail and Children’s Book programme, it features on the organisation’s website and is hoped to encourage more people to break in the region.
Points on the art trail include the famous Angel of the North by Antony Gormley, in Gateshead, Kielder Water & Forest Park, which is home to a collection of more than 20 pieces of public art, the BALTIC – Centre for Contemporary Art in NewcastleGateshead, mima in Middlesbrough and the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle.
