Exploring Escher in Dulwich

Editorial Director Peter Stonham was recently pleased to attend the latest special exhibition at the delightful Dulwich Picture Gallery, which was an exploration of the work of the Dutch artist M.C.Escher, famous for his complex and perplexing visual illusions. The exhibition brought together for the first time in the UK all his key works, from early sketches exploring perspective and shape to his later works incorporating ever more challenging optical tricks.

The gallery is building a strong reputation in showcasing individual artists and themes, and combined with its core collection of important British artworks and setting in parkland with a high quality café, this makes it an excellent group destination in South London. Keep a look out for the programme of exhibitions for 2016.
