Gods smile on museum

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt, has re-opened its doors to the public, having been secured to prevent looting during the country’s recent political upheaval.

Located at Tahir Square, which was the focal point of the revolution, the attraction features 27 mummies dating back to Pharaonic times and the golden death mask of Tutankhamun. The museum offers guided tours for groups.
