Holocaust exhibition expands
FIRST opened in 2000, the Imperial War Museum’s Holocaust Exhibition is to undergo a £15million renovation and expansion.
The expanded exhibition will include more personal stories and direct survivor testimonies along with a larger collection of objects and original material that will help audiences consider the cause, course and consequences of the Holocaust.
It will also retain elements of the original exhibition, such as a model depicting the arrival at Auschwitz. In addition to the significant expansion of the exhibition, IWM is also bidding to develop a new national Holocaust memorial and learning centre.
The project will be part of a wider development of IWM’s Second World War galleries, which are expected to be complete by 2021.
The museum offers special rates for groups of 10 or more people. For further information telephone 020 7416 5000
