Formerly located on Colville Mews in Notting Hill, London, The Museum of Brands has announced the opening date for its new building on nearby Lancaster Road.
Conveniently situated two minutes from Ladbroke Grove Tube station, the new museum has larger exhibition areas to display its huge collection, exploring the history of consumer culture, and includes a new learning space, which will offer creative sessions that can be booked by groups.
Other new elements include a café with a garden offering a quiet haven away from the bustle of Portobello Road. The café will give visitors an opportunity to enjoy homemade soup, sandwiches, cakes, pastries, cold drinks, tea and coffee, with a take-away option also available.
The museum’s award winning shop, stocking retro-inspired gifts, branded souvenirs, and replica vintage games and toys has also made the move.
Featuring thousands of items from the unique Robert Opie Collection, the museum demonstrates how well-loved brands evolved through their creative use of packaging and advertising.
The official re-opening will take place over the Easter Weekend – 25th to 28th March.
Discounted entry is available for groups of 10 people or more.
