MOZART PLAYED BY CANDLELIGHT…

The Mozart Festival Orchestra will embark on a UK tour in the autumn celebrating one of the greatest composers of all time – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Presented by Raymond Gubbay, Mozart by Candlelight will see the orchestra performing magnificent works in full period costume in evocative candle-lit settings.
In a diverse programme, audiences will be able to enjoy some of Mozart’s finest pieces including the Don Giovanni Overture, Clarinet Concerto, Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Piano Concerto No. 21 and Symphony No 41 ‘Jupiter’.
Celebrated conductor Thomas Carroll will lead the Mozart Festival Orchestra joined by soloists Richard Hosford on the clarinet and Jonathan Scott on the piano.
The tour will visit eight venues in the UK including The Anvil in Basingstoke, Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre and Cambridge Corn Exchange.

Mozart by Candlelight will be touring the UK between 29th October and 9th December. Groups of 10 or more receive a 20% discount. Further tour venues can be found in this month’s listings opposite.
