New amusements at Pleasure Beach

PLEASURE Beach, Blackpool, is building a new amusement park due to open on 6th April 2011.

Themed around characters from Nickelodeon, the popular children’s cable TV channel, Nikelodeon Land will be a six-acre area featuring 14 rides and attractions, a Nickelodeon store and a huge new restaurant.
New rides will include SpongeBob’s Splash Bash, an interactive ride where riders have the opportunity to turn water jets onto their friends. The twirling ride will be the first of its type in the world, and seat 54 riders.
Other water rides will include The Rugrats Lost River, a flume ride in which guests explore a mystic jungle before coming face to face with a splash down finale.
Special rates will be available for groups of 10 or more people.
