Emirates Spinnaker Tower, in partnership with Visit Portsmouth, has unveiled a new joint ticket for 2016, enabling groups to explore Portsmouth on a guided walking tour before enjoying a birds-eye view of their route from 100 metres up.
Starting at the city’s 13th century Royal Garrison Church, the tour ends at the tower, where groups will get to explore the building for the first time, discovering details of its history, construction and viewpoints.
Available to groups of up to 25 at a time, the walk will span the origins of Portsmouth, taking in The Camber, the site of the original Norman fishing settlement and follow the city’s architectural development through the centuries including three 15th century fortifications.
Bringing the tour up to date, stop-offs also include the newest building in the harbour, the Ben Ainslie Racing base, which will host the America’s Cup World Series event this year.
The tours will take two hours, with time afterwards for groups to enjoy the views stretching up to 23 miles over the historic harbour, the Solent and the Isle of Wight.
Group benefits of the joint ticket include free entry for the group leader, fast-track access on arrival and a meet and greet service (available on request), as well as a selection of group catering options.
