New Stena Line port for Cairnryan

THIS November, ferry operator, Stena Line, will launch a new purpose-built port and terminal at Cairnryan in Scotland, which will herald a new route for its Northern Ireland to Scotland service.

Two new ships, ‘Superfast VII’ and ‘Superfast VIII’ will also be introduced to sail the new Belfast-Cairnryan route, and will be the largest ships ever to sail between Northern Ireland and Scotland.
These latest developments are the culmination of an ongoing investment programme by Stena Line, which started with the construction of a new terminal in Belfast in 2008.
The combination of the new port and ships will enable the ferry operator to reduce the journey time between Northern Ireland and Scotland.
