Pirate’s Quest reshuffles decks

A pirate re-enactor with two young group members.

Cornish walk through experience Pirate’s Quest Newquay will open for its second year with a brand new storyline.

The hour-long interactive adventure, led by legendary buccaneer, Captain Calico Jack, will involve visitors being transported back over 300 years to the dawn of the Republic of Pirates.

Group members will get to experience a live recreation of Cornish history, including its sounds and smells, as they are rescued from the sinking Royal Anne Galley – a real pirate hunter’s ship that sank off the South Coast of Cornwall en route to the Caribbean.

Other locations on the adventure include caves, 18th Century Cornish streets and Captain Blackbeard’s Tavern – a new section of the attraction where visitors can find out about this infamous rogue of the sea.

The final destination of the refreshed quest is the deck of Blackbeard’s famous pirate ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, which your group has to help steer away from treacherous cliffs.

Actors play the pirates encountered en route and younger group members also have the option of completing a treasure map to earn some treasure.
