Plans develop for Geffrye revamp

THE Geffrye Museum of the Home, in east London, has won a Development Grant of £518,500 from the Heritage Lottery Fund towards plans to allow greater numbers of visitors to explore its collections, library and archive.

The museum shows the changing style of the English domestic interior in a series of period rooms. If successful in its bid for the full cost of the project, it will install new entrances, create a restaurant and install a gallery for temporary exhibitions by 2015.
Special entry rates and talks are available for groups.
