THE world’s largest permanent exhibition dedicated to the future of cities, The Crystal, has just opened at London’s Victoria Docks.
Described as a centre for urban sustainability, the building’s crystalline geometry and reflecting facade have been designed to make it a highlight on the capital’s skyline.
The Crystal uses interactive exhibits to highlight issues of climate change, population growth and increasing urbanisation.
The main area of the exhibition is divided up into zones, full of sustainability challenges, which visitors are encouraged to use their ingenuity to solve.
Topics such as transport, urban planning, energy supplies, terrorism, water and health are all discussed.
Entry to The Crystal, which also houses a cafe, is free.
