Summer Strallen to star with Tom Chambers in Top Hat

Summer Strallen and Tom Chambers are to star in a new musical version of the 1935 Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movie, Top Hat, this autumn.

Tom Chambers will play Jerry Travers, the famous American headliner who arrives in London to appear in his first West End show. Here, he meets the irresistible Dale Tremont, the girl of his dreams, played by Summer Strallen, and follows her across Europe in an attempt to win her heart with his song and dance routines.
Chambers has appeared in Holby City and Waterloo Road and recently wowed audiences with his dance routines on Strictly Come Dancing. Strallen most recently played Meg Giry in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies at the Adelphi Theatre.
Top Hat will run at Milton Keynes Theatre from 16th until 27th August before touring to a number of venues including the Southampton Mayflower, Plymouth Theatre Royal and Edinburgh Playhouse. It is expected to transfer to the West End in spring 2012.
