Stuff and nonsense at Jacksons Lane

Managing Editor Abbe Bates and her son Herbie enjoyed a performance of Goldilocks and The 3 Bears in London recently at the lovely Jacksons Lane theatre in Highgate. The children’s story is brought to life by kids theatre company Stuff and Nonsense with amazing costume, puppetry and acrobatics, and some witty dialogue too. It was Herbie’s first visit to the theatre, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! The show is currently on tour until June.

Comedy Theatre re-named Harold Pinter Theatre

The Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) has announced the renaming of London’s Comedy Theatre as The Harold Pinter Theatre, after the distinguished playwright, screen writer, director, political activist and actor.

The first show to open at the newly-named venue on 13th October will be Death and The Maiden by Ariel Dorfman.

Along with around 40 GTO readers and guests, I and my Deputy Editor, Carrie Drage, enjoyed a preview of new musical Rock of Ages at the Shaftesbury Theatre. The show is ideal for a fun night out with friends and colleagues, full of 80s power ballads and outrageous costumes, and we all got to meet the cast afterwards, including Justin Lee Collins, as you can see above! Thanks to Encore Tickets and the producers for another great evening.
