Third Warners weekend a hit with Cherry and friends from Capel-le-Ferne

The end of November saw a group of 44 friends from the village of Capel-le-Ferne near Folkestone travel to a Warner property for the third time in as many years.

Cherry Leppard, who is responsible for arranging the forays, says, “This time we went to Cricket St Thomas in Somerset and it proved very popular, with entertainment from Brian Poole and the Electrix on the Saturday.”
On the Sunday, the group took a coach tour around the area, ending up at the pretty seaside village of Lyme Regis in Dorset. “Once again, I used Crosskeys Coaches from Folkestone for travel,” comments Cherry. “Justin, our young driver, was brilliant and I’m sure he enjoyed the weekend too! Crosskeys always make booking so easy and are so very reliable.”
The group only needed one trip out as Cherry reports there was so much to see and do at Cricket St Thomas. “There are plenty of activities such as line dancing, sequence dancing and swimming to take part in. The grounds and gardens are lovely too and are being promoted much more now.”
This year’s Warners weekend has already been decided by Cherry. “Forty nine of us are returning to Bembridge Coast Hotel on the Isle Of Wight this November, which we visited in 2009, and enjoyed very much,” she says. “I love the Isle of Wight as a destination and Barbara Flood, my contact at Warner, is really easy to deal with in booking – she is so kind and helpful. I must say thank you as well for this great magazine – I really enjoy it and like reading other organisers’ stories – it gives me ideas!”
