Tree time in the forest

This year’s National Forest Wood Fair will take place on 29th August at Beacon Hill Country Park, near Woodhouse Eaves, in Leicestershire.

The event attracts more than 100 exhibitors and demonstrators each year, who put on displays of woodland crafts, lumberjack skills, horse logging and chainsaw carving.
Once again, visitors will also be invited to try their hand at pole lathe turning (the ‘Log to Leg’ race sees contestants attempting to turn a lump of wood into a pair of chair legs), woodland survival crafts and a massive cross-cut saw.

The National Forest Wood Fair will be held at Beacon Hill Country Park in Leicestershire on 29th August.
