The nine-day itinerary, ‘Wonderland: Yellowstone in Winter’, will operate on six departures during January, February and March 2102, as well as dates in 2013, and is aimed at groups of around 20 people. The tour is based on the stories of film-maker Ken Burns.
Activities include explorations aboard heated, motorised snowcoaches and wildlife viewing in areas including the Lamar Valley and Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Optional activities during free time include ice skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
The itinerary includes stays at the Chico Hot Springs Resort, Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, Old Faithful Snow Lodge and the Wort Hotel in the area.
Tauck are more than happy to discuss individual group bookings.
