Only Fools and Horses now a musical

Fans of long-running television sitcom Only Fools and Horses will have it cushty next year as a musical based on the show arrives in London’s West End.

For anyone not aware, the television programme told of the hilarious, and sometimes poignant, misadventures of a family of slightly dodgy south Londoners.

Elder brother Del always had some kind of get-rich-quick scheme, usually involving selling defective merchandise, whilst his idealistic and much younger brother Rodney was always yearning for independence and respectability.

Meanwhile, poor old Grandad is their put-upon dogsbody – sometimes adding the voice of experience to the situation.

Only Fools and Horses the Musical is written by Jim Sullivan, the son of original television writer John Sullivan, and comedian Paul Whitehouse. Additional music is by John Sullivan and Chas Hodges of Chas n Dave fame.

The show will star Paul Whitehouse as Grandad, Tom Bennett as Del Boy and Ryan Hutton as Rodney.

Only Fools and Horses the Musical runs from 9th February 2019 with booking currently open up to 22nd June 2019 at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, Suffolk St.
