Outdoor adventure games launching this Spring
The Escape Games Company in association with English Heritage have launched a new outside adventure game concept for Spring.
The adventure games will be played in and around over 30 historic sites across England and will see participants work together in small groups to solve puzzles and crack clues inspired by their surroundings. Actors in full costume will bring the games to life, engaging and interacting with players and further enhancing the experience.
COVID-safety will be paramount, with all activities outside, and all clues and props cleaned and sanitised after every game. The sizes of groups and the number of households allowed to mix will also be adhered to depending on Covid restrictions.
All the new games will be inspired by the compelling heritage of their locations and will be delivered under the company’s ‘Adventure Out! Games’ brand, focusing on outdoor, escape style themed games in amazing sites around England.
The locations range from castles and historical houses, to Roman ruins and atmospheric abbeys in locations across the country, from Bayham Abbey in Kent to Penrith Castle in Cumbria.
The variety of the adventure games will appeal to a broad audience including families and friends of all ages, along with school groups and those looking for corporate team building activities.
Owner and founder, The Escape Games Company Ian Cox comments:
“We are really excited to launch our games at these amazing heritage sites across England. Our objective is to help bring these magnificent locations to life with fun, energising games founded in fact and inspired by the past.”
As every game is outside, there is also a strong emphasis on wellbeing.
“After months of lockdown and inordinate amounts of time spent in front of screens, we wanted to provide activities that support people’s physical and mental health,” Cox continued. “Our problem-solving games will bring the feel-good factor and plenty of active fun and excitement.”
Adventure Out! Games are around one hour in duration and can be booked in advance here, with selected games launching from 15th April and include a money-back guarantee should COVID restrictions change. Prices start at £10 per person. Games will be available on weekdays, at weekends and throughout the school holidays.
