Prince of Egypt announces extended run
The Prince of Egypt, the new stage musical that recently premiered at London’s Dominion Theatre, has just released 100,000 new tickets, extending its limited engagement by a further seven weeks until Saturday 31st October 2020.
The following extra matinee shows have also now been added: Tuesday 14th April, Tuesday 11th August, Tuesday 25th August and Tuesday 27th October 2020, all at 2.30pm.
The show takes audiences on a journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as two young men, raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever.
With a cast and orchestra of almost 60 artists, the production features 10 brand-new songs by Stephen Schwartz, together with five of his acclaimed songs from the DreamWorks Animation film (Deliver Us, All I Ever Wanted, Through Heaven’s Eye, The Plagues and the Academy Award-winning When You Believe, which was a global hit for Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey as well as a UK and Ireland chart-topping winner’s single for The X-Factor).
