Singing Warner’s praises
Eighty members of the social group Jim Godsell and Friends set the record for the largest number to ever perform in a Warner’s Pop Choir when they took to the stage during a four-night February break at Warner Leisure Hotels’ Alvaston Hall in Nantwich, Cheshire.
In total, 114 of Jim’s group, made up of friends from the city of Birmingham, attended the trip. Jim recalls, “Those of us who wanted to join the Pop Choir took part in two daytime singing workshops, hosted by the entertainment team. We were taught some dance moves to accompany our singing and could take away the song lyrics to learn in our own time.”
Jim continues, “On our final night, during the evening entertainment, we got to perform our version of Roll Out The Barrel. It was so much fun and the group members watching us thoroughly enjoyed themselves too.”
There are plenty of other daytime activities to keep guests entertained at Alvaston Hall Hotel including quizzes and games, golf, badminton, croquet, swimming, the new ‘Ballet be fit’ classes and ‘Walk a Mile with Warner’, a daily morning walk around the grounds available for all to join in.
Of Alvaston Hall Hotel as a whole, Jim concludes, “The accommodation is absolutely superb, the food is excellent, and the programme of daytime and evening activities is fabulous. Warner definitely deserves a pat on the back for the wonderful things they are doing – nothing else compares.”
